“Therefore, be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5: 15-17)
All Christians struggle with sin to some extent and no matter who we are, we are not exempt from being tempted by Satan. But, as a child of God, we are supposed to be set apart from the rest of the world in such a way that people actually notice that we act differently, not in a weird way, but in a way that shines a light for God. In Ephesians 5, Paul says that we are light in the Lord and we should walk as children of light. But sadly, many times we fail God by trying to fit in with the rest of the world and are too afraid to stand up for what is right…we’re too afraid of offending someone or losing friendships. And all the while, Satan is working hard to put that fear in our hearts, as well as trying to destroy our lives. Pray that God will remove the fear or anything else that stands in the way of you living a life that pleases God…a life that shines a light for Him. Ask God to forgive you for your past mistakes and start living the life He intended you to live full of joy and happiness!
“Therefore, do not be partakers with them; for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5: 7-10)
